“I am in Bulawayo for a series of meetings with other DSIs, but I heard of such a case. On Wednesday, I sent two Schools Inspectors to investigate, along with the audit team from the responsible authority to check on finances. They will also ensure awareness that schools will open on the 14th. We will be there in full force again to ensure the school opens and to take note from the learners, teachers, SDC, and the community at large,” said Ncube.

He said he will be meeting the Inspectors on Monday to review their findings, adding that the situation is being addressed.

“There is no threat that the school will be closed. The police are there, they were on the ground, and they will arrest anyone who attempts to close the school,” said Ncube.
