A member of the Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) was stabbed to death with a broken beer bottle by another man who found him sleeping with his female partner at her house in Bulawayo.
Police have confirmed the incident and are conducting investigations, but the victim has since been identified as Ntokizisi Mhlanga aged 32.
According to sources, the victim was discovered sleeping with the suspect’s girlfriend at her lodgings in Trenance suburb.
“The soldier was found sleeping with a woman by her boyfriend. The boyfriend was carrying a beer bottle and struck the soldier on the head while he was still on the bed,” sources alleged.
“The boyfriend, realising that he had killed the soldier, immediately went to the police and handed himself in, possibly fearing what would happen to him from other soldiers.”
