Hwange man appeals for financial assistance

A 27-year-old man from Makwika village, Hwange, is appealing for financial assistance to undergo spinal cord surgery at Mpilo Hospital in Bulawayo.

Muyanda Desmond Muleya had a spinal cord fracture in November last year while swimming.

Currently bedridden and at home, Muleya desperately needs US$823 to undergo treatment.

Speaking to CITE, his father Simon Muleya said Desmond has three fractures in the spinal cord, which he sustained after failing to safely dive into the water.

“I am looking for financial assistance from well-wishers for my son who needs to undergo a spinal cord operation which has three fractures. He was swimming and while diving in the water he got hurt,” he said.

He added that his son is unable to walk as his feet are now paralysed.

Those willing to assist Desmond, his father said, can use the following banking details: Banc ABC Hwange: Branch Account Number 11710923302007 or get in touch with him (Simon Muleya) on 0776 602 659.
