Bulawayo woman seeks financial aid for daughter’s heart surgery in India

A woman from Bulawayo is appealing for financial assistance for her daughter to undergo heart surgery in India.

Patience Dube (35) of Sotshangane Flats, Nguboyenja, says she needs US$4,600 for her daughter to undergo the operation.

Dube said her daughter, who is one year and nine months old, was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot, a heart condition.

“Her heart has a hole, and the oxygen and heart veins work vice versa. For this to be rectified, she needs surgery. We were advised that the surgery can be performed in India, and we got a quotation of US$4,600. This amount is only for the surgery, excluding transport and accommodation costs. We are appealing for assistance from well-wishers,” she said.
