Simbisa Brands donates to Entembeni Old People’s Home

Fast food restaurants operator Simbisa Brands, Saturday donated groceries to the elderly at Entembeni Old people’s home in Bulawayo’s Luveve suburb.

The supplies donated include food and toiletries amounting to US$600

Simbisa Brands Marketing Coordinator for the southern region, Thabo Ncube, said their company is committed to being part of the continuous improvement of livelihoods in communities.

Entembeni Old People’s Home administrator Nomusa Khumalo expressed gratitude for the assistance they received.

She said the home survives on donations and sometimes they go for a while without supplies.

“Just last week we had no cooking oil for relish. It is amazing how God can answer prayers. We are so grateful for the kindness you have shown us,” Khumalo said.

“We have a total of 59 people here and the oldest is turning 105 years. The people we take care of here need food, adult diapers and different forms of medication. We rely on donations to acquire all this so when companies remember us we are very grateful.”
