Zimbabwe has recorded 107 new Covid-19 casesย which bring the countryโs activeย cases toย 1 323, the Ministry of Health and Child Care reported in its latest update.
The highest new cases were recorded in Masvingo with 64 new cases followed by Bulawayo which recorded 22 new cases.
Harare recorded 15 new cases, Matabeleland North recorded three new cases, Mashonaland West recorded two new cases while Midlands had a record of one case.
The ministryย said threeย areas, Kariba,ย Karoiย and Kwekwe have been put underย localisedย lockdown.
The ministry said 1 367 Covid-19 tests were done which saw the increase of the Covid-19 positivity percentage also increasing to 7.9 percent.
โ12 new recoveries: National recovery rate stands at 93 percent and active cases go up to 1 323,โ said the Ministry.
They added that as of 13 June 2021, Zimbabwe has recorded 39 959 cases, 37 004 recoveries and 1 632 deaths.
โVaccination update: 967 received their first dose today bringing cumulative for first dose to 693 147 while 2 693 received their second dose bringing cumulative for second dose to 414 911 (as at 16 00hrs),โ said the Ministry of Health and Child Care.
Of the 1 323 active cases, most active cases are concentrated in Harare which has 450 active cases followed by Mashonaland West with 267 active cases.
Bulawayo has 160 active cases, Matabeleland South has 138 active cases, Masvingo has 128 active cases, Matabeleland North has 52 active cases while Midlands has 49 active cases, Manicaland has 39 active cases, Mashonaland East has 29 active cases and Mashonaland Central has only 11 active cases.
