ZB unveils new service center

ZB Financial Holdings (ZBFH) has launched a new platinum service centre in Bulawayo as the bank spreads its wings to improve its service delivery and remain viable.

The service centre was officially opened on Saturday in an event attended by Minister of Provincial Affairs Judith Ncube and Councillor Tawanda Ruzive who was standing in for the Mayor, Solomon Mguni.

Speaking during the launch, ZBFH group chief executive officer, Shepherd Fungura said the customers will experience all the services under one roof.

“I am pleased to introduce our latest addition to our service centres—the Belmont Plus Platinum Service Centre, an embodiment of excellence tailored exclusively for our esteemed executive clientele in the great city of Bulawayo. Alll offerings under one roof, personalised service, better interest rates, use of airport lounges locally and internationally, domestic and international insurance,” said Fungura.

“The customer experience-all our offerings in one roof, no standing in queues, personalised service and service from cluster advisors, cash funeral benefits, road side assistance and discount on security services and advisory services.”

He said the success of the bank is not measured solely by financial gains but by the positive impact they have on the lives of their customers, employees, and the communities they serve.
“It is this philosophy that is guiding us and propelling us towards a future brimming with promise.”

Meanwhile, Fungura said the bank has made strides and solidified their position as a key player in the property sector through the acquisition of a controlling stake in Mashonaland Holdings Limited.

“This strategic move bolsters our property arm, Barcelona Investments, and positions us to address the urgent need for property
development and affordable housing solutions,” he said .

He added that ZBFH has expanded its horizons and ventured into the regional market .

“We proudly launched our Reinsurance business in Botswana, extending our reach and influence beyond the borders of Zimbabwe.”

Fungura added that the bank’s financial results for 2022 surpassed expectations.

“Looking ahead, we are confidently forecasting more profit this year, underscoring our unwavering dedication to enhancing our profitability and sustaining our growth trajectory,” he said.
He said through their investment vehicles, they aim to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s progress, particularly in areas such as infrastructure development and social empowerment.

Ward 6 councillor Tawanda  Ruzive said  the launch of  the service centre comes at a time when the city is on its way to restore it’s glory of it being an industrial hub in Zimbabwe.
Meanwhile, Minister of State and Provincial Affairs, Judith Ncube said she is pleased with the development  and applauded ZBFH for availing financial services that have assisted in increased  production in mining, agriculture 
and manufacturing.
“We also want to see you do more to capacitate our SMEs and particularly vulnerable groups, notably women and the youths,”she said.
Ncube also urged  the financial  institution to play a leading role in increasing financial literacy.
