Water shedding schedule to stay: BCC

Bulawayo mayor councillor Solomon Mguni

The Bulawayo City Council (BCC) has warned that the 96 hour water shedding will be in place for sometime as the city`s supply dams are yet to receive significant inflows.

Giving his new year’s message for 2020, Bulawayo Councillor Solomon Mguni, Wednesday, said total dam percentage currently stands 35.40%.

He said the city council remains in hope for a better rainy season in order to get sufficient water supplies.

Mayor Mguni assured residents the council intends to maintain the current water shedding schedule, ensuring it does not worsen.

Cllr Mguni noted the council would ensure that broken down equipment is replaced.

Residents are encouraged to desist from vandalising council equipment.
