U.S. launches twice-yearly HIV prevention drug in Zimbabwe, aiming to prevent 9,000 infections.

In this bulletin, The United States has launched the long-acting HIV prevention drug lenacapavir (LEN) in Zimbabwe, aiming to support 271,000 people over the next three years and prevent more than 9,000 new infections. A Kenyan intelligence report submitted to parliament reveals that 1,000 Kenyans have been recruited to fight for Russia, far more than the government’s previous estimate of about 200.
