South Korean President faces impeachment over Martial Law controversy

Zimbabwe’s reliance on the private sector for maize supply has led to a significant drop in maize availability through the Grain Marketing Board, raising food security concerns, according to a report by the Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture. South Korean MPs introduced a bill on Wednesday to impeach President Yoon Suk Yeol after he proclaimed martial law in the country, a major US ally, only to reverse the decision hours later after a tumultuous standoff between parliament and the military. Fighting began in eastern Congo on Monday, violating the truce agreement, according to the M23 rebel group and the Congolese army. The withdrawal of Rwandan troops raises questions about whether the M23 organisation will end its onslaught.
