Seven killed in Harare road crash

Seven people have died and eight others were injured in a collision involving three vehicles near Dzivarasekwa in Harare, police have said.

The crash occurred on Wednesday morning at the intersection of Bulawayo Road and the Dzivarasekwa turn-off, near Thuli Service Station.

National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi said the accident involved a Toyota Hiace kombi, a haulage truck, and a UD 70 truck.

“It is alleged that the kombi driver failed to give way at the traffic light-controlled junction, resulting in the crash,” he said.
