Police investigate two juvenile deaths in Bulawayo

Police in Bulawayo are investigating two separate deaths involving juveniles whose bodies were discovered in Umguza and Montrose, both in an advanced state of decomposition.

In the first incident, the body of 17-year-old Bradley Moyo, from Mabutho in Umguza, was discovered hanging from a tree branch in Lower Rangemore on October 27.

Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Nomalanga Msebele said the body was discovered by a 26-year-old man who was walking through the area at around 2pm.

“The now deceased was last seen by his mother on October 24, 2026. A police report was then made,” said Inspector Msebele.

She said Moyo’s body was taken to United Bulawayo Hospitals (UBH), where it is awaiting a post-mortem examination.

In a separate incident, the body of an unidentified male juvenile, estimated to be between 14 and 17 years old, was discovered in a bushy area near Montrose Girls High School on October 28.

Inspector Msebele said the body was found by a man walking through the area at around 3pm.

A few metres from the body, police discovered several items of school uniform believed to be from Founders High School.
The items included a maroon and yellow striped tie, a black belt, grey socks, a maroon scarf, black shoes and navy blue and yellow shorts.
