Police are appealing for assistance in identifying the family of a young man who was found dead in June last year at Mthwakazi Business Centre in Filabusi.
The deceased, whose identity remains unknown, was last seen alive at the business centre, where he was reportedly involved in a fight with two male adults believed to be his friends. The altercation took place in the early hours of the morning. He was later found by police, unable to speak, with multiple stab wounds on his ribs and buttocks. He was taken to Filabusi District Hospital, where he died upon admission.
The deceased is estimated to be around 20 years old, approximately 1.56 meters tall, with a light complexion and a slim build.
Reports indicate that he had a scar under his right eye and short hair. At the time of his death, he was wearing a gold T-shirt, maroon chino-style trousers, and a maroon, black, and yellow jacket.
He had no form of identification on him, and no one in Filabusi has come forward to claim him. The only lead in the case remains the reported fight between him and the two men. His body is currently at Filabusi District Mortuary.
Detective Constable Nyoni of CID Gwanda has urged anyone with information about the deceased or the circumstances surrounding his death to come forward. They can contact him on his cellphone: 0712 599 306 or landline: 0842824254.
