Naison Khutshwekhaya Ndlovu declared a national hero
Veteran nationalist and Zanu PF Central Committee member, Cde Naison Khutshwekhaya Ndlovu who died yesterday in Bulawayo has been declared a national hero.
He will be buried on Saturday at the National Heroes Acre.
Zanu PF Politburo member Cde Joshua Malinga delivered the message to the Ndlovu family on behalf of the party this morning.
Cde Khutshwekhaya Ndlovu was a top member of PF Zapu before the Unity Accord.
He held several positions in Zanu PF which included Senator for proportional representation in Matabeleland South province.
He was also Bulawayo’s first black mayor and was at one time the deputy senate president.
He is survived by his wife and two children.
Cde Ndlovu, who is also a former politburo member, died yesterday after a long battle with cancer.
Mourners are gathered at House Number 5649 Luveve 4 in Bulawayo.
