Matabeleland South farmers warned of delayed rains, dry spell expected early 2026

Early showers in October and November are predicted to be a “false start” to the farming season. A dry spell is also expected between late January and mid-February. At least two people were killed near Agadir after police opened fire to stop protesters storming a police station in Lqliaa. The unrest follows youth-led demonstrations against government spending on 2030 FIFA World Cup stadiums instead of improving hospitals and public services.
