Ex-teacher appeals for financial assistance to undergo brain tumour operation

A former Geography teacher at Bhulu secondary school in Plumtree is appealing for financial assistance amounting to US$10 000 to undergo a brain tumour surgery.

Precious Mthuthuki (48) has been forced out of her job by her health situation.

Mthuthuki said started having eyesight problems last year and her condition worsened around March 2021. She then sought medical attention and was informed that she has a tumour.

Due to her condition, she is now dependant on other people for assistance.

โ€œI can no longer afford to walk without any assistance. I am no longer able to cook, clean or do anything as my eyes are covered by a whitish form, The only thing I can see a bit is the sun, I have to navigate my way inside the house,โ€ she said.

โ€œThe doctors said they can perform it here in Zimbabwe but they want US$4 000 for hospital admission then there is a doctorโ€™s fee and the anaestheticย fee, the money can total to about US$10 000.โ€
