Bulawayo councillors have proposed drilling deeper boreholes as a solution to the city’s persistent water crisis. This advice is based on interviews with several water experts, who highlighted that the city’s water sources are particularly shallow when compared to those in other countries. Ghana’s Vice President, Mahamudu Bawumia, conceded loss in Saturday’s election and congratulated the opposition candidate, former President John Mahama, on his victory. South Korean authorities have issued a travel ban to President Yoon Suk Yeol, who is under investigation for declaring martial law last Tuesday.
