Mrs Bona Mugabe- Chikore, the only daughter of President Mugabe, is part of the Censorship board announced yesterday by Home Affairs Minister Ignatius Chombo.
The 11 member Censorship board, according to Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC), would control and regulate the media and film industry, and focus on the “rampant abuse of social media while also taking into consideration that general elections are set for next year”.
The board is chaired by Former Cabinet Minister Aeneas Chigwedere. Other Board members include national police spokesperson Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba, Bulawayo Metropolitan Provincial Administrator Konzani Ncube, Catholic Priest Father Fidelis Mukonori and Shingai Rukwata Ndoro.

Bona’s appointment follows the appointment of her husband Simba Chikore to the position of Air Zimbabwe’s Chief Operating Officer in October 2016.
