Bulawayo Hospitals Overwhelmed & China Opens World’s Highest Bridge

Dr. Maphios Siamuchembu, Bulawayo Provincial Medical Director, warns that central hospitals are operating like large district hospitals, limiting their ability to handle complex cases.

In international news, China has officially opened the Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge, now the world’s highest bridge, soaring 625 meters (2,050 feet) above a gorge in Guizhou province. The bridge cuts travel time across the canyon from two hours to just two minutes, setting records for both height and the largest span in a mountainous region.
