Botswana’s President vows to restore Bushmen rights after burial delays.

Botswana’s new president has vowed to restore some of the rights that were taken away from the Bushmen, an ancient tribe of hunters and gatherers living throughout southern Africa. Police in Ghana have arrested over 100 persons, the majority of whom are opposition supporters of President-elect John Mahama, for breaking the law. The Islamist group led by rebel leader Ahmad al-Sharaa is stamping its authority on Syria’s state with the same lightning speed with which it captured the country, deploying police, establishing an interim government, and receiving foreign envoys, raising concerns about how inclusive Damascus’ new rulers want to be.
