Zim records 10 new Covid-19 cases

Zimbabwe recorded 10 new Covid-19 cases on Monday with one case being recorded in Bulawayo, bringing the total number of cases to 7898.

The new cases, which are all local transmissions, were detected amongst the 929 PCR tests which were conducted on Monday. 

In a statement, the Ministry of Health and Child Care noted that Mashonaland East recorded four new cases, Harare recorded three new cases while Bulawayo, Masvingo and Manicaland recorded one each. 

“10 new cases and no deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. 929 PCR tests done today and all the 10 are local cases. 65 new recoveries have also been reported bringing the national recovery rate to 81.3%. Active cases have gone down to 1246,” read the statement. 

The country to date has recorded a total of 7898 cases 6424 recoveries and 228 deaths.

Bulawayo has since recorded 1460 cases, Matabeleland North 138 and Matabeleland South 778.
