Zim Covid-19 recovery rate shoots to 95%

Zimbabwe`s Covid-19 recovery rate shot up to 95% after more than 1000 people recovered from the respiratory disease in the last 24 hours.

In its daily update, the Ministry of Health and Child Care said the national recovery rate has risen to 95.1 percent.

โ€œ1 122 new recoveries reported: National recovery rate rises to 95.1 percent and active cases go down to 164 today,โ€ read the update.

The ministry noted that the highest recovery cases occurred in Harare.

โ€œHarare reported 1 114 recoveries today after following up the cases.โ€

The other cases were recorded in Bulawayo with three new recovery cases, Manicaland four and Matabeleland North recorded one case.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Child Care said 10 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.

โ€œ10 new cases and no deaths reported in the last 24 hours and 481 PCR tests done today (positive today was 2.1 percent)โ€.

The Ministry recorded that as of 12 October  2020, Zimbabwe has now recorded 8 021 cases, 7 627 recoveries and 230 deaths.
