Zapu’s chairperson of the national council of elders Percy Bhebhe has died.
This was confirmed by the party’s secretary general Mthulisi Hanana, who described Bhebhe as a “very pivotal team player in the party.
Hanana said the void left by Bhebhe in the party will be hard to fill and that he leaves the party “at a time his wisdom and counsel is needed the most”.
“On behalf of the party, National Executive Council, National People’s Council, on my own behalf would like to express sincere and deep condolences to the Bhebhe family, ZAPU President, Council of Elders and the various people who lived and knew Elder Bhebhe,” said Hanana.
The secretary general said more information will be provided “once there is clarity”.
