Policewomen show big hearts to mother of triplets
In a heart-warming display of empathy, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) Bulawayo Women’s Network rallied together to bail out a single mother of triplets, who had appealed for assistance.
Dale (30) from Cowdray Park sent out a public appeal for assistance to raise her children after her partner abandoned them.
Her distress call touched the women in uniform who gathered together their resources to help her out.
Their generous donation of diapers, milk, and other essential supplies has brought immense relief and joy to Prisca and her family, amidst their challenging circumstances.
“I am grateful, the tears are of joy, I appreciate the hands that you have extended and the hearts that were touched, I am truly grateful,” said a teary Dale as she accepted the gifts.
ZRP Bulawayo Province deputy spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Nomalanga Msebele said the donation was motivated by the empathy that the ZRP women network ladies have for the triplets and their mother following the publishing of their predicament in the media.
“The network ladies believe that children are a gift from God, let alone a rare beautiful triple bundle of joy thus should be a source of happiness rather than despair,” she said.
Msebele said the donation falls within their key result area of national building and social responsibility.
She said their goal is to promote good relations with the public and improve the policing environment, identifying underprivileged members in the community and meeting them at their point of need.
