Police have arrested Pius Jamba who is suspected to have brutally murdered Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) activist Moreblessing Ali.
Her mutilated remains were found in a well in Nyatsime, Chitungwiza.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police has arrested accused Pius Jamba this morning (Thursday) in connection with the callous murder of Moreblessing Ali. A detailed statement will be released during the course of the day,” the police said in a brief statement posted on their Twitter handle.
Ali went missing on May 24, 2022, and her remains were found in a shallow well in Nyatsime on June 11, 2022.
Her body was reportedly found in two parts while her intestines were packed in a plastic bag.
