“Obert Mpofu to be given full time Job at Party headquarters”
HOME Affairs Minister Obert Mpofu could be frozen out from taking part in the coming elections with President Mnangagwa saying his position in Zanu-PF is to be on a full-time basis.
Addressing the Zanu-PF women’s league in Harare on Thursday, Mnangagwa said the positions of Secretary for administration held by Mpofu and that of finance would, like the Commissariat be on a full-time basis.
Mpofu, who left his Umguza Constituency for Zanu PF Matabeleland North provincial chairperson Richard Moyo, had indicated interest in the Senate.
Mnangagwa’s pronouncement means Mpofu be in the cabinet should Zanu PF win the July 30 polls.
