Missing pupil found dead

A learner from Founders High School in Bulawayo was found dead yesterday at Nketa High school.
The body of Prichard Ndlovu, whose age could not be established before publishing, was found decomposing.
Ndlovu, from Nkulumane suburb, had been missing since Saturday.
Bulawayo police spokesperson Chief Inspector Precious Simango confirmed his death.
“I can confirm the police are investigating a murder case. We appeal to members of the public who may have information to call on 885479 or approach the nearest police station,” said Simango.
A source close to the deceased’s family who spoke to CITE on condition of anonymity said the boy had been missing from his home since Saturday.
“The boy left his home on Saturday with friends and went to drink at some sports bar in Nketa 6. He did not return home. Sunday his parents went to the police to file a missing person’s report,” said the source.
“Yesterday a caretaker at Nketa High school who was working on her fields within the school premises with her grandchildren stumbled upon the decomposing body. They called the police who then called the boy’s parents to come and identify the body,” said the source.
The source said the boys’ friends who attended the scene told the boy’s parents that while at the sports bar Saturday night, a commotion ensued and they fled.
That was the last they saw of him.
According to the source, Ndlovu was supposed to proceed to Form Four next year.
