Let’s help Binga whizkid fulfil his dream of studying medicine
A 20-year-old man Future Muzamba from Kase village in Binga is appealing for financial assistance to pursue his dream of going to university and studying medicine.
Muzamba who did his Advanced level at Cyrene high school scored 28 points in Computer Science, Animal Science, Pure Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physical Education, Sport and Mass Displays.
In an interview with CITE, Future’s father, Jameson Muzamba said he is facing financial challenges to send his son to university.
“My boy did well in high school, he scored 28 points at Advanced level but he has failed to secure a place at university and as a father, I have financial challenges. I work as a security guard,” said Muzamba.
He said they have tried to apply for scholarships and they have not received any response.
“In 2021 we tried to apply for scholarships from various organisations but we have not yet received any response. We applied for the Joshua Mqabuko scholarship and even the presidential scholarship but no response yet.
“I am appealing for well-wishers to assist my child to secure a place at university either locally or abroad and assistance with fees so that he can achieve his dreams,” said Muzamba.
“I have three other children who are in school, the second born is doing form three, while the other two are in grade four and one, this makes the situation harder as no income is being generated to survive.”
Meanwhile, Future said he once applied and got a place at Eden University in Zambia.
“I couldn’t go because of funds. After that I couldn’t continue applying anymore due to finances,” he said.
