Covid-19 claims another life in Byo

Bulawayo has recorded another Covid-19 related death while 14 more tested positive for the deadly virus.

A total of 27 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, all being local transmissions.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Health and Child Care stated that a total of 687 PCR tests were conducted countrywide on Saturday.

“27 new cases and one death (in Bulawayo) were recorded yesterday. All the cases are local transmissions. 12 new recoveries were reported bringing the national recovery rate to 94.1%,” read the statement.

“Four new cases were reported in Mashonaland East, seven in Midlands while Matabeleland North and Masvingo recorded one each.”

Zimbabwe to date has recorded 8498 Covid-19 cases, 7995 recoveries and 251 deaths.
