Companies, non-governmental organisations and development partners are being invited to market their products and services during the Imiklomelo kaDakamela festival, following a new partnership between the Centre for Innovation and Technology Zimbabwe (CITEZW) and the Dakamela Trust.
The deal grants CITEZW exclusive rights to manage and sell advertising across all official live broadcasts of the 2026 festival, scheduled to take place from 3 to 6 April in Nkayi.
Through this arrangement, brands will be able to reach audiences via live mentions, branded content segments and on-screen placements during digital broadcasts, with additional visibility through post-event productions.
Organisers say the initiative is designed to link advertisers with both on-site attendees and wider online audiences, as the festival continues to grow beyond its traditional local base.
CITEZW will handle comprehensive coverage of the event, including live streaming, field reporting and post-production, positioning the festival as an emerging digital media platform.
CITEZW director Zenzele Ndebele said the partnership goes beyond event coverage and aims to create sustainable opportunities within the media and business space.
“This is not just about broadcasting a festival, but about building a platform that delivers value to audiences while opening up meaningful engagement opportunities for businesses,” he said.
Launched in 2023, Imiklomelo kaDakamela celebrates outstanding individuals in sectors such as health, education and social development, while also promoting cultural heritage.
The initiative is spearheaded by Chief Dakamela, who has positioned the festival as a platform that connects culture, community and development.
Organisers say the advertising opportunity offers brands both reach and relevance, allowing them to align with community-driven initiatives while tapping into a broader digital audience.
CITEZW has called on interested companies, NGOs and partners to secure advertising and sponsorship opportunities, noting that space is limited under the exclusive agreement.
