Chief Wasi Ndiweni dies

Chief Ashel Wasi Ndiweni of Mangwe district in Matabeleland South Province, has died.

He was 90 years old.

The young brother and family spokesperson, Leo Ndiweni, confirmed the death to CITE.

“The Chief died at his home at Macingwane in Plumtree, Thursday, at around 11 AM. He was 90 years old and he was of ill-health of late,” he said.

He said the family is still waiting for other family members to arrive before finalising the burial programme.

“We are just coming from the District Administrator’s office. We are still waiting for other family members to come from outside the country then we agree as a family on when the work can be done. We expect that at least by Sunday we would have come up with a date.”
