CCC knocks on doors to canvass for support
Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) embarked on a door-to-door campaign in the Cowdray Constituency to canvass for support for its candidates.
The opposition party will be represented by Pashor Sibanda who is the parliamentary candidate and council candidates, Nkosinathi Hove Mpofu (Ward 6), Nomagugu Mloyi (Ward 15) and Ntandoyenkosi Ndlovu (Ward 28).
In an interview, Sibanda said they received positive feedback from the residents.
“We have just concluded our door-to-door in Ward 6 and I can tell you that people are happy to see the candidates, the councillor for Ward 6 Nkosinathi Hove Mpofu and myself, we have been meeting people, the old people, the young people, the pensioners, the vendors and everyone.
“People are very clear that they are now waiting for President Chamisa to be in the state house, me being an MP and Hove being a councillor, hoping that we will change and develop so that there can be development in Cowdray Park,” he said.
Sibanda said residents in the constituency want development.
“We need to fix the issue of the sewer as people are using septic tanks and the yards are too small and it’s not sustainable. When we get there, we have to make sure that the issue of sewer is sorted, the issue of roads is fixed widely because right now the roads which they are saying they are fixing are not reaching the people and so forth,” he said.
Meanwhile, Jasmine Toffa who was also on the ground to support the campaign said the aspiring candidates are pushing so that development would be brought to everyone.
“We want to make sure we will big, Nelson Chamisa should be voted a president in Zimbabwe so that there will be a change if there is a good team managing Zimbabwe and in this instance in Cowdray Park, we will make sure that people will vote for Pashor as an MP for everyone,” said Toffa.
