UPDATED: Bulawayo lawyer allegedly commits suicide

A prominent Bulawayo lawyer who died under unclear circumstances on Tuesday at his house in Bradfield suburb was seriously ill and suffering from depression, his law firm, Webb, Low and Barry confirmed.

In a tweet, Tuesday, David Coltart a partner at Webb, Low and Barry identified the deceased as Norman Pattison.

“It with deep sadness on behalf of the partners of Webb, Low and Barry that I report the sudden death today of our partner Norman Pattison. Norman has been seriously ill for several months. Our sincere condolences are extended to his family and friends,” he tweeted.

Pattison allegedly committed suicide at his home in Bradfield suburb.

When CITE went to the scene, police had already arrived and cordoned off the site.

The deceased’s body were taken to the United Bulawayo Hospitals (UBH) mortuary.

The police are yet to release an official statement.
