In today’s bulletin, Bulawayo has nearly halved new HIV infections and expanded treatment coverage to over 98%, according to the 2025 HIV Estimates Report. The number of people living with HIV dropped by more than 3,100 between 2020 and 2024, reflecting stronger prevention and treatment efforts. The Taliban has banned 18 university subjects in Afghanistan, including six focused on women, and removed 140 books written by women from the curriculum as part of a wider purge of materials deemed “anti-Sharia.”
