CITE spoke to the spokesperson for the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education, public relations officer Patrick Zumbo, who said there was no specific date that had been set for the opening of schools.
“We do not have any set date but we are yet to be advised on when schools will be open,” said Zumbo.

Background
The Zimbabwean government closed all schools and colleges on March 24, 2020, in response to the threat posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In making the announcement, President Emmerson Mnangagwa said government would determine the date when schools and colleges would reopen after assessing the situation.
Meanwhile in Bulawayo some private schools have begun online classes for learners to keep up with their studies during the national lockdown.
