Police search for missing BCC employee

Police in Bulawayo have launched an investigation into the disappearance of a 52-year-old Bulawayo City Council (BCC) employee who went missing in August.

Bulawayo police deputy spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Nomalanga Msebele, identified the missing person as Japhet Ndlovu, an employee at the waterworks compound of the city council.

“The missing person disappeared on August 28, 2024, when he left home and did not return,” she said.

Msebele described Ndlovu as being dark in complexion, of medium build, and 1.6 meters tall.

“He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a maroon T-shirt, and black tennis shoes with white sides,” she added.

Msebele urged anyone with information that could assist in locating Ndlovu to contact ZRP Pumula on 0292422907, or cell phone number 0776429188, or visit any nearby police station.
