  • Government says it is working on a statutory instrument to make sure funds collected by councils for waste management are ring-fenced so that authorities do not divert the funds for other purposes.
  • The Zimbabwe Coalition on Debt and Development (ZIMCODD) says the use of blended inflation statistics by the Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency (ZimStat) will largely mask the actual inflation tax experienced by local currency earners while further eroding market trusts in the government and its institutions.
  • The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has established strategic command centers across the country to combat unethical practices that take place in the education field. Zimbabwe’s education sector faces a number of challenges including teacher shortages, infrastructure pressure and economic crisis.
